KyoAni is adapting "Hibike! Euphonium", Kyoani's TV anime adaptation in April 2015! A coming-of-age story set in a high school brass band club

The TV anime "Hibike! Euphonium" was announced. Euphonium" will begin airing in April 2015.


This is based on the novel "Hibikake! Euphonium: Welcome to Kita-Uji High School Brass Band" (original story by Ayano Takeda). It is a coming-of-age story set in a high school brass band club, depicting how the female members seriously engage in club activities under the strict guidance of a newly appointed advisor.

The staff is directed by Tatsuya Ishihara of the "Chuunibyou de Koi ga Shitai! series, Juki Hanada for series composition, Akiko Ikeda for character design, and Naoko Yamada for series direction. The animation production will be handled by Kyoto Animation, which is popular for its high quality drawings. In addition, the first key visual and character drawings of the four main characters have been released. The cast will be announced at a later date.


<Story
Spring, the first year of high school.
Kumiko Omae, who was in the brass band in junior high school, goes to visit the brass band with her classmates Hazuki Kato and Midori Kawashima. There, Kumiko sees her former classmate, Reina Kousaka. Hazuki and Midoriteru seem to have decided to join the brass band, but Kumiko is not ready to take the plunge. What she recalls is an incident with Reina at a brass band competition in junior high school.
Through their activities in the brass band, they discover something irreplaceable.
This is a coming-of-age story of girls who are seriously competing with each other.
