Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection "F"", the battle music will be "F" by Maximum the Hormone! The kicker is Akira Toriyama

The animated film "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F'" will be released on April 18, 2015, and "F" by Maximum the Hormone will be used as the battle music.

Following "Dragon Ball Z: Gods and Gods," which was released in March 2013 as the first movie version in 17 years, this will be the 19th Dragon Ball movie. It is a sequel to the previous "Gods and Gods," and is also notable for being scripted by the original author, Akira Toriyama, himself. The director is Naoki Yamamuro, a long-time animation director for the series, who participated in the previous film as the chief animation director. The cast includes Masako Nozawa, Ryusei Nakao, Koichi Yamadera, Seiichi Morita, Ryo Horikawa, Shoji Sato, Hiromi Tsuru, Mayumi Tanaka, Toshio Furukawa, Takeshi Kusao, Hikaru Midorikawa, and Yuko Minaguchi.

The speedy, bass-heavy song "F" from Maximum the Hormone's maxi-single "Tsume Tsume/"F", released on July 9, 2008, will be used as the battle song in the play. Akira Toriyama, the author of the original manga, commented, "This time, Frieza is coming back! F" is the F of Frieza. This was an idea that came to me when I was thinking about the next movie, when I heard the song "F" by Maximum the Hormone, a band I met through a friend. F" is a cool song about Frieza. Of course, he's not just back, so please enjoy the tremendous competition!" He commented.

Incidentally, the members of Maximum the Hormone love "Dragon Ball," and the singer and his six-stringed and younger brother, Maximum the Ryo-kun, once said that this song was born from reading the original story.
