Hiromu Arakawa and Yoshiki Tanaka's "Arslan Senki" to be adapted into a TV anime in April 2015 in the Day 5 slot!　Key visuals and main staff also revealed!

The TV anime "Arslan Senki" will start in April 2015.

This is an anime adaptation of the manga "Arslan Senki," which has been serialized in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine since 2013 by Hiroshi Arakawa (manga) of "Fullmetal Alchemist" and Yoshiki Tanaka (original story) of "Legend of the Galactic Heroes. It is a historical fantasy that dramatically depicts a boy's growth and the days of bloody battles on a continent where intrigues and schemes swirl. The original novel by Yoshiki Tanaka has been published in 14 volumes since its first volume in 1986, and has sold more than 6 million copies.

The broadcast start date has now been decided; it will be broadcast every Sunday at 17:00 on the MBS/TBS network of 28 stations nationwide starting in April 2015. A key visual depicting the timid crown prince Arslan and the knight Darün who protects him, as well as some of the main staff members, have also been announced. The director is Noriyuki Abe, series composition is by Makoto Uezu, and character design is by Shingo Ogiso.

Pulse is a powerful country where people, goods, and rich culture gather from all over the world, with its capital at Ecbatana, the center of the overland route connecting East and West. The pagan nation of Lusitania begins its invasion of the rich territory of Pals.
