Seagate "ST600MP0005", a SAS 12Gbps/15000rpm enterprise 2.5-inch HDD, now on sale!

Seagate's ST600MP0005 2.5-inch HDD with 15,000 rpm disk speed is now on sale at Oriospec.

The ST600MP0005 is a SAS 12Gbps interface enterprise HDD with a capacity of 600GB and belongs to Seagate's "Enterprise Performance 15K HDD" series, which offers higher performance with lower power consumption than 3.5-inch HDDs for the same enterprise market. Performance 15K HDD series.

It has a transfer rate of 160 to 233 MB/sec, power consumption of 5.3 W at idle and 8.7 W during operation, and enhanced reliability, with an annual failure rate of 0.44%.

Other major specifications include three disks and 128MB of cache capacity, with a body thickness of 15mm, which is thicker than most 2.5-inch HDDs.
