OC-spec GTX 980 with white board! GALAX "GF PGTX980/4GD5 HOF" released

GALAX's top-of-the-line GeForce GTX 980 video card, the GF PGTX980/4GD5 HOF, is now available.

This overclocking model is designed to maximize the performance of GeForce GTX 980. It uses a 10-layer white board with optimized signal routing and strengthened power circuit and cooling mechanism.

The power circuit is an 8-phase configuration with plenty of high-quality parts such as Japanese capacitors, IR3555 DRMOS, and COOPER R15 inductors to ensure stable power supply.

For the cooling system, a large cooler equipped with triple fans is used. Fans of different sizes are used and arranged in the order of 80mm-90mm-80mm. In addition, a large heat sink with 7 integrated heat pipes (4 x 8mm diameter + 3 x 6mm diameter) and a copper base are used, as well as a heat sink for MOSFETs.

The core is overclocked, with base increased from 1126MHz to 1304MHz and boost increased from 1216MHz to 1418MHz. In addition, a HyperBoost button is mounted on the bracket side to instantly increase the voltage and, in conjunction with the voltage increase, allow the fan to reach its maximum speed.

Other specifications include 4GB of GDDR5 memory with a memory data rate of 7Gbps, the same as the reference, 3 DisplayPort, 1 HDMI, and 1 DVI monitor outputs, and 2 x 8-pin auxiliary power supply ports.
