Matrox has released the C680 PCIe x16/J (model number: C680/2GBPEX16), a video card for multiple monitor applications that can output 4K to up to six screens.


The C680 PCIe x16/J is a 1-slot thick video card with six Mini DisplayPort 1.2 connectors that can connect up to six 4K monitors simultaneously, with a maximum resolution of 4096 x 2160 (30 Hz) per screen. It also supports a refresh rate of 60 Hz, although the number of simultaneous outputs is limited to three systems.

Other features include "Pivot Mode," which allows the display screen to be rotated and displayed in portrait mode, "Desktop Divider," which divides the desktop screen, and "Bezel Management," which corrects image misalignment in the bezel area. The "Matrox PowerDesk" software allows users to set up a multi-monitor environment.

The GPU installed is only disclosed as an AMD GPU, and other detailed specifications are unknown. The GPU is PCI Express 3.0 x16, has 2GB of GDDR5 memory, and supports OpenGL 4.4, DirectX 11.2, and OpenCL 1.2 graphics APIs.

Supported OS are Windows 8.1/7 (32/64bit), Windows Embedded Standard 7 (32/64bit), Windows Server 2012 R2/2008 R2 (64bit), and Linux.
