Hana to Alice Murder Case," 20 four-frame manga episodes available free of charge! The spin-off story depicts the struggles of two students who take the high school entrance exam.

The animated film "The Hana to Alice Murder Case" will be released on February 20, and all 20 episodes of the four-frame manga about the two-headed Hana and Alice are now available for free.

Hana to Alice Murder Case" is an animated prequel to "Hana to Alice," a live-action film written, scripted, and directed by Shunji Iwai, which was released in 2004. It is the first feature-length animated film by Shunji Iwai, and the original story, screenplay, music, and direction are by Iwai himself. In addition, actresses Yu Aoi and Anne Suzuki, who appeared in "Hana to Alice," will participate as voice actors for the roles of Alice and Hana. The recording was done using the prescoring method (recording the voices first, rather than matching them to the pictures), and their performances as voice actors are also attracting attention. The story is about the encounter between Alice, the strongest transfer student in history, and Hana, the strongest shut-in in history.

In collaboration with "Kit Kat," a four-frame manga "Hana to Alice Exam Case," featuring the two-headed Hana and Alice, was created. The original idea and drawings are by mitty, an illustrator and elementary school childcare instructor, and the spin-off story depicts the two's struggle to take the high school entrance exam. A total of 20 episodes will be distributed for free on a special website (http://nestle.jp/brand/kit/juken2015/) starting today, January 20.
