Mamoru Oshii Film Festival 2015, the second edition of "GHOST IN THE SHELL"!　Also screening "Je t'aime," a short film in collaboration with GLAY!

The second all-night screening event "Mamoru Oshii Film Festival 2015" has been announced.

→The all-night screening event " Mamoru Oshii Film Festival 2015" will be held! 　The first installment will be the theatrical version of "Mobile Police Patlabor" and "Mini Patrol".

This is a series of all-night screenings of Mamoru Oshii's animated and live-action films. The first installment, "Mamoru Oshii Film Festival 2015: The First Night of 'Mobile Police Patlabor'" held last December, sold out in less than a week, and a 90-minute talk show by Mamoru Oshii and Kenji Kamiyama was held on the same day, meeting the expectations of fans.

The second edition of the festival will be held on February 28 as "Mamoru Oshii Film Festival 2015: The Second Night of "GHOST IN THE SHELL" Edition. Guests will be Mamoru Oshii and animator Tetsuya Nishio. In addition to "GHOST IN THE SHELL," which marks the 20th anniversary of its theatrical release, "Innocence," the sequel to "Ghost in the Shell," and "The Sky Crawlers," with its impressive and unique narrative, "Je t'aime," a unique short animation derived from a PV, will be screened. Guest Tetsuya Nishio participated in "Innocence" and "The Sky Crawlers" as a main staff member, and in "Je t'aime" as a character designer, storyboard artist, director, and animation director.

Je t'aime" is a project that started as a promotional video for GLAY, and instead of the usual PV that goes along with the music, both Mr. Oshii and the members of GLAY brought their ideas to the project. The result was a collaborative work that was officially exhibited at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival 2010 and other festivals. In Japan, it was released in 2010 as the first limited edition DVD of the album "GLAY," but it has not been screened in theaters (except for preview events), and this is the first time it has been shown.
