Kyoani's spring anime "Hibike! Euphonium", main cast announced!　PV long version also released!

The main cast has been announced for the TV anime "Hibike! Euphonium," the main cast has been announced.

Euphonium" is an adolescent energetic novel "Hibike! Euphonium" is based on the novel "Hibike! Euphonium: Welcome to Kita-Uji High School Brass Band" (original story by Ayano Takeda). Set in a high school brass band club, it is a coming-of-age story that depicts how the female members of the club seriously engage in club activities under the strict guidance of their newly appointed advisor. Directed by Tatsuya Ishihara of the "Chuunibyou de Koi ga Shitai! series, series composition by Juki Hanada, character design by Akiko Ikeda, and series direction by Naoko Yamada. Animation production will be handled by Kyoto Animation.

The main cast has now been unveiled. The main character, Kumiko Kurosawa Tomoyo, plays the euphonium; Ayaka Asai plays Hazuki Kato on tuba; Moe Toyoda plays Midoriteru Kawashima on double bass; and Chika Asai plays Rena Kosaka on trumpet. The characters and their instruments are described below.

Kumiko Omae
She enrolls in Kita-Uji High School because she longs to wear a sailor suit. Although she has no particular preference, she plays the euphonium in the brass band at her high school. She is easily influenced. She has a habit of saying out loud what she thinks. She is very concerned about a comment she made to Rena at a junior high school competition.
Instrument: Euphonium
A low-pitched brass instrument. It has a soft and pleasant tone.

Hazuki Kato
A classmate of Kumiko. She played tennis in junior high school and is a beginner on a musical instrument. She joined the brass band club because she longed to play the trumpet, but ended up playing the tuba. She is an active, cheerful, and energetic mood-maker.
Instrument: tuba
A low-pitched brass instrument. The pillar of the low brass section, it plays in the lowest register of the brass. It is large and heavy.

Midoriki Kawashima
A classmate of Kumiko. In junior high school, she was a contrabass player at a prestigious school for young ladies. Hoping to continue playing the instrument for fun, she joined the brass band club in high school as well. Her polite tone of voice gives the impression of a small animal. She is surprisingly ballsy.
Instrument: Contrabass
Low-pitched string instrument. It is the only string instrument in the brass band club, and is characterized by its thick, calm tone. Anyway, it's big!

Reina Kousaka
She is from the same junior high school as Kumiko. Influenced by her father, who is a professional, she has been playing the trumpet since she was a child. She continues to play the trumpet in the brass band in high school. She is stoic and cool.

High-pitched brass instrument. It is a flowery instrument with a gorgeous and brilliant tone.
