Arpeggio of Aoki Steel collaborates with JMSDF BD/DVD "Aegis: The Strongest Shield to Protect Japan"! In the bonus video, Aimi Numakura visits an Aegis ship.

The anime film "Aoki Kogei no Arpeggio - Ars Nova the Movie DC" will be released on January 31, 2015, and will be collaborated with the JMSDF BD/DVD.

Arpeggio Ars Nova" is an anime work based on "Aoki Kogei no Arpeggio," a marine science fiction war story manga serialized in the monthly magazine Young King Awards. The story is set in a world where the sudden appearance of the "Fog Armada," a group of warships from World War II equipped with superweapons that humans could not possess, has taken control of the seas. The main character, a cadet, and his friends fight the "Fog Armada" aboard the I401, a submarine that has joined the human side. The film version will be made in two parts: the first part will be a re-creation of the TV series with new episodes (about 40 minutes long) and a new character, "The Foggy Student Council," and the second part will be a completely new film.

This time, a collaboration with the BD/DVD "Weapon Frontline: Maritime Self Defense Force Aegis, The Strongest Shield to Protect Japan," which will be released by Shochiku on February 4, 2012 for 3,800 yen plus tax. This film introduces the entire picture of "Teruzuki," the second ship of the cutting-edge "Akizuki" type, which is the pride of the Maritime Self-Defense Force and is also called "mini-Aegis," and the basics of maritime warfare. As a special collaboration bonus, the film includes a special video in which voice actress Aimi Numakura, who plays Takao, and military critic Issaku Okabe, who supervised the film, visit the Aegis Kirishima together and show the highlights of the ship that were not introduced in the main film. A collaboration sticker will also be included as an enclosed bonus.

Incidentally, in May 2013, the collaboration with the TV anime "Girls und Panzer" led to the JSDF DVD topping the Oricon weekly DVD ranking.
The Ground Self-Defense Force DVDs became the first ever to top Oricon's overall DVD ranking, thanks to the "Galpan" collaboration! Maritime and Aviation DVDs also made the top 10 in the Oricon Top 10.
