The Turbo vNAS TVS-x71 Series, a high-end NAS that supports 4K video playback & conversion, is now available!

The new Turbo vNAS TVS-x71 series NAS with 4K video playback and conversion capabilities is now available from QNAP.

The three models released are the 4-bay TVS-471 (TVS-471-i3-4G), 6-bay TVS-671 (TVS-671-i3-4G), and 8-bay TVS-871 (TVS-871-i3-4G). Both are equipped with Core i3 processors with Haswell architecture.

The Turbo vNAS TVS-x71 series is a high-end NAS for business users that can play and convert 4K video and edit on-the-fly. 4K-compatible HDMI output on the rear panel enables video playback on the NAS alone when connected to a TV or other device.

It also supports real-time conversion of 4K (H.264)/1080p video, enabling transcoding to a format that can be played back on PCs, mobile devices, and Smart TVs.

The network interface includes four Gigabit LANs as standard and a PCI Express expansion card slot for adding a 10GbE card to significantly increase throughput.

The CPU is a Core i3-4150 (3.5GHz), memory is 4GB DDR3 (maximum 16GB can be installed), and the storage capacity is HDD/SSD with SATA 6Gbps support.

In addition to the Core i3 model introduced this time, the series also offers a Core i7 model (8-bay), a Core i5 model (8-bay/6-bay), and a Pentium model (8-bay/6-bay/4-bay).
