From the TV anime "Macross Δ (Temp.)", it was announced that about 8,000 applications were received for the diva audition.

This audition was open for two months from December 1 to January 30, 2014. The number of applications received was approximately 8,000, the most in the history of the "Macross" series, far exceeding the approximately 3,000 applications received for the previous "Miss Macross 30 Contest" and the approximately 5,000 applications received for the "Macross F" audition, which produced Ai Nakajima, who played Ranka. The audition also received many applications from all over Japan as well as from people from overseas, since it was easy to apply for the audition from a karaoke box. Incidentally, JOYSOUND, which has tied up with numerous auditions, also received the largest number of applicants in its history.

The organizers are currently reviewing the videos and profile materials. The final selection will take place in late April, with interviews, singing, and voice acting to be held in Tokyo. The public announcement of the new heroine will be made on the portal site (macross.jp) in conjunction with the release of "Macross Delta (tentative)" information.
