Kyo-ani's brass band anime "Hibike! Euphonium" announces new visual and additional cast members! Minako Kotobuki, Minori Chihara, Takahiro Sakurai, Saori Hayami, Haruki Ishitani

New visuals and additional characters/casts have been announced for the TV anime "Hibike! Euphonium," a new visual and additional characters/cast have been announced.



Euphonium," which won the "8th Japan Love Story Award" from Takarajimasya, Inc! Euphonium" is based on the novel "Hibike! Euphonium: Welcome to Kita-Uji High School Brass Band" (original story by Ayano Takeda). It is a coming-of-age story set in a high school brass band club, depicting how the female members seriously engage in club activities under the strict guidance of their newly appointed advisor. Directed by Tatsuya Ishihara of the "Chuunibyou de Koi ga Shitai! series, series composition by Juki Hanada, character design by Akiko Ikeda, and series direction by Naoko Yamada. Animation production will be handled by Kyoto Animation.

New visuals and additional characters/cast members have been unveiled. The new visual shows the main character, Kumiko Koumae, and four other main characters in a refreshing group illustration with a blue sky background, giving the impression of youth. The additional characters/cast members are: Asuka Tanaka, vice-president of the Kita-Uji High School brass band and bass part leader of the euphonium, played by Minako Kotobuki; Haruka Ogasawara, head of the brass band and saxophone part leader, played by Saori Hayami; Kaori Nakayoko, club madonna and trumpet part leader, played by Minori Chihara Haruki Ishitani plays Shuichi Tsukamoto, the trombone player and childhood friend of the main character, and Takahiro Sakurai is Noboru Taki, the music teacher who will be the new brass band advisor. Saori Hayami, Minori Chihara, and Takahiro Sakurai will also appear on the special stage just before the broadcast at AnimeJapan 2015's RED Stage.


In addition, information on the theme song was also revealed. The opening theme song will be "DREAM SOLISTER" by TRUE. The ending theme song will be "Tutti!" by Kumiko Kozen (CV. Tomoyo Kurosawa), Hazuki Kato (CV. Ayaka Asai), Midori Kawashima (CV. Moe Toyoda), and Rena Kosaka (CV. Chika Anzai). The song will be called "Tutti!
