New company "BANDAI NAMCO PICTURES" established in April 2015! Spin-off of a part of Sunrise
The BANDAI NAMCO Group has announced the establishment of a new company, BANDAI NAMCO PICTURES.
NAMCO BANDAI Pictures is a spin-off of a part of the production division of Sunrise, an animation production company under the group, and from April 2015, Sunrise and Bandai Visual will continue to be in charge of high-target content such as the "Mobile Suit Gundam" series, while the new company, NAMCO BANDAI Pictures will be in charge of kids and family content such as "Aikatsu! and other content for kids and families will be newly handled by NAMCO BANDAI Pictures. In addition, NAMCO BANDAI Pictures will "speed up the planning and development process and further strengthen the linkage with the group's other businesses, such as Toys and Hobby," according to the company.
Located in Nerima-ku, Tokyo, the company is capitalized at 10 million yen, and its president is Yasuo Miyagawa (President of Sunrise).
