A special trailer and theaters for the animated film "Sinbad: The Flying Princess and the Island of Secrets," which will be released in July, have been unveiled.

Sinbad: Princess Soratobu and the Island of Secrets" is a 40th anniversary commemorative film produced by Nippon Animation, which has produced the "World Masterpiece Theater" TV animation series based on numerous children's books, and Shirogumi, whose 3DCG version of Doraemon "STAND BY ME Doraemon" was a big hit. The film commemorates the 40th anniversary of Nippon Animation. The film is a modern animation of "Sinbad," the most famous story from "Arabian Nights," which has been the subject of many movies and animations since ancient times. Directed by Shinpei Miyashita, who directed "Doraemon: Nobita's Dinosaur 2006"; series composition by Hiroyuki Kawasaki, who directed "Ronja, the Bandit's Daughter"; and animation by Yoshiharu Sato, who worked on "My Neighbor Totoro," "The Witch's Delivery Service" and other Ghibli films.

A special trailer and the theaters where the film will be released have been unveiled. In the special feature, Sinbad, who dreams of becoming a sailor and traveling to the unknown world, Mimi the monkey, and Sana, a girl who rides a wooden horse in the sky, are depicted in a nostalgic touch typical of Nichiren Annie's films. The film will be released at AEON CINEMAS (http://www.sinbad.jp/theater/index.html) in various locations.
