Little Witch Academia: Magic Trick Parade" to be released in theaters by the end of 2015! Sequel to the original short animation by Trigger

The anime film "Little Witch Academia: Magic Parade" has been announced. The film will be released within 2015.

The film is a sequel to "Little Witch Academia," a 25-minute original short animation produced by Trigger in March 2013 as part of the Agency for Cultural Affairs' "Anime Mirai 2013" project to nurture young animators. In July 2013, the film's sequel production fundraising campaign was launched on the U.S. crowdfunding service "Kickstarter" and reached its goal of $150,000 in just five hours. In the end, a total of $625,518 (approx. 74 million yen) was collected from 7938 supporters in one month, and production began on a 40-minute animated short film "Little Witch Academia 2 (tentative title)," which is still fresh in our minds.

The film will continue to be directed by Yoh Yoshinari, and will be distributed by Toho Video Division. In addition to existing characters, new characters will appear, and the story will be depicted with a scaled-up worldview. In conjunction with the opening of the official website (http://littlewitchacademia.jp/), a newly-drawn teaser visual has also been released.
