Gourmet/cooking anime "Shokugeki no Soma" to feature appearances by Ai Chino and Marei Uchida! Broadcasting will begin in April in the Anime-ism slot.

A key visual and additional cast members have been revealed for the TV anime "Shokugeki no Soma," which will start in April.



Shokugeki no Soma" is an anime work based on a manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (original story: Yuto Tsukita, Shun Saeki, cooperation: Tomonori Morisaki). Set in a prestigious culinary school, it depicts the struggles of the main character, the son of a popular diner. The original work features the cooperation of Yuki Morisaki, a well-known cookery researcher who is too beautiful for her own good, for cooking ideas, etc., as well as the sexy tasting reactions of the female characters. The anime version is directed by Yoshitomo Yonetani of the "TIGER & BUNNY the Movie" series, with series composition by Shogo Yaskawa of "Terraformers" fame, and character design by Tomoyuki Shimotani of the "Bakuman. series, character design by Tomoyuki Shimotani, and animation production by J.C. STAFF.

The key visual and additional cast members have been unveiled. The key visual is a group illustration of 13 characters. The additional cast includes Ai Chino as Ryoko Sakaki, Marei Uchida as Yuki Yoshino, Taishi Murata as Shun Ibuzaki, and Yusuke Kobayashi as Zenji Marui. In addition, the broadcast slot has also been confirmed; it will be broadcast on MBS, TBS, CBC, BS-TBS, and other Anime-ism slots.
