Sound card for PC karaoke! ASUS "XONAR D-KARAX" Released

The XONAR D-KARAX sound card from ASUS, featuring effects for vocals, is now available.

The XONAR D-KARAX is a PCI Express x1 sound card. The main inputs/outputs are 7.1-channel analog outputs, digital outputs, and microphone/line analog inputs. All use 3.5mm jacks, with a maximum sampling rate of 96kHz/24bit and a signal-to-noise ratio of 106dB (front).

Uniquely, they feature effects for vocals: 10-band equalizer, compressor, dynamic boost, high-pass/low-pass filter, and reverb. In addition, there are five different profiles that have been tuned by music engineers. Depending on the song, you can choose from rock, ballad, and detailed settings that you can customize yourself.

In addition, a hardware-based DSP (Digital Signal Processor) is said to reduce the microphone input delay to 500 ms.

By combining a TV with a multi-channel AV environment and a home theater PC equipped with this sound card, it is possible to create a full-fledged home karaoke system.

The audio processor is C-Media's CMI8786, and the D/A converter is Cirrus Logic's CS47028. The supported OS is Windows 8/7 (64/32bit).
