THE NEXT GENERATION PATLABOR" is a live-action version of the classic anime "Mobile Police Patlabor," and now scenes from the feature-length theatrical version have been released.

The film, which has attracted attention for its total production cost of 2.2 billion yen, including the 8-meter-long life-size Type 98 Ingram and the fully realized Section 2 building with its own Laberdog, will be released sequentially starting with Chapter 1 (Episodes 0-1) on April 5, with the final Chapter 7 (Episode 12 "The Greatest Legacy") to be screened from January 10, 2015. The seventh and final chapter ("The Great Legacy") has been screened since January 10, 2015.

The feature film "THE NEXT GENERATION PATLABOR: Capital Decisive Battle," which will be released on May 1, has now unveiled its scene photos. The scenes show the Special Vehicle Section 2 confronting the terrorists, with Captain Goto (Toshio Kakei), Akira (Erina Mano), Kasha (Rina Ota) and others lined up with shotguns and AK-47s in their hands, and Haibara Zero (Kanna Mori) standing before the "Gray Ghost" helicopter that the terrorist group will launch as the spearhead to attack the capital. Zero Haibara (Kanna Mori) is also seen. The scene also shows the Rainbow Bridge and Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building being bombed, Ingram under heavy fire, Captain Goto and Shigeo Shiba standing in front of Ingram, who appears to have been banned from firing, and Akira Izumino holding a revolver cannon from the exposed cockpit, giving the viewer a sense of the scale of the battle and its grandeur.
