Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin I: Casbal of the Blue Eyes" is an anime adaptation of the hit comic "Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin," which has sold a total of 10 million copies and was created by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, character designer and animation director for the original "Mobile Suit Gundam. This work is an anime adaptation of the hit comic "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin," which has sold 10 million copies. This work is the first chapter of the series, which tells the story of Casbal and his brother Artesia when they were young. Yasuhiko himself is the general director of the anime adaptation, which is the first time in a long time that Yasuhiko's colors are fully expressed in Gundam, and this aspect is also attracting the interest of many Gundam fans.

On the opening day of the screening of "Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin I: Casbal of the Blue Eyes," a stage greeting was held at Shinjuku Piccadilly, one of the screening theaters. Gundam fans came from early in the morning, and a long line formed for the pre-sale of "Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin I Blu-ray Disc Collector's Edition," which was available only at the venue. Mayumi Tanaka, who plays Casbal Rem Daikun, Megumi Ban, who plays Artesia Som Daikun, Shuichi Ikeda, who plays Char Aznable, and Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, the author of the original manga, took the stage to greet the audience. The following is a summary of the event.

Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, General Director
As it was the first day of the screening, I put on my own tie. I have aged so much that it is difficult to count the years. It has been 15 years since I started drawing the original work, and I believe that I have finally come this far. Being the general director doesn't feel right. I stay at home and Director Imanishi is the master of the site. In postrecording, I was a scholar at first glance. As you may have guessed, the cast is incredibly gorgeous.
THE ORIGIN is to let people know what Gundam is, and I think it is the first step for various audiences to see the movie. I hope you will all give it a try.

Mayumi Tanaka
Thank you very much for allowing me to participate in Gundam for the first time. Today, I once again felt the passion of the fans, and to be honest, I felt a lot of pressure.
At the recording studio, other voice actors with long careers were also nervous. I think that is the weight of Gundam. I usually play roles in which I express my emotions, but Casbal is a boy who doesn't express himself, so I put a lot of pressure on myself to play him.
I am an amateur when it comes to Gundam, so this is where I start. I hope that people who know about Gundam but don't know much about what's inside will watch the movie with me from this point on.

Megumi Ban
I am very excited to play the role of Artesia and to be standing in front of you all like this. In the words of my mother, "I can see the time. I thought so myself.
I believe that this film is filled with encounters and partings, love, sadness and hatred, and all the emotions and ways of life that we can feel in our daily lives. I hope that you will come to the theater, love THE ORIGIN, and continue to lead it.

Shuichi Ikeda
I never thought that General Director Yasuhiko would return to the animation scene after 25 years. He was present during the postrecording sessions without any particular intervention.
THE ORIGIN will continue and will go on for a long time. Please stay with us, everyone. Thank you very much for your time today.

Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN I: Casbal of the Blue Eyes" will be screened at 13 theaters nationwide until March 13, 2015 (Friday).
