Sony offers "high sound quality" microSDXC card for high-resolution Walkman! 64GB for approx. 20,000 yen
Sony has released the SR-64HXA, a 64GB capacity microSDXC memory card designed with an emphasis on sound quality.
The SR-64HXA is a high sound quality model of microSDXC memory card that is optimized for Sony's high-resolution Walkman NW-ZX2 and NW-A10 series.
Compared to ordinary microSDXC cards, the new card features reduced electrical noise generated during file readout, preventing degradation of sound quality. As a result, the company says the card reproduces smooth sound connections, a clear expanse of sound field, good graininess, and freshness.
According to the company, "Maximum consideration was given to 'stabilizing the signal' and 'improving the quality of the signal' without seeking higher speed than necessary," and "parts and materials were selected and secured to maintain the sound quality. The speed class is Class 10 (U.S. UART).
The speed class is Class 10 (UHS-I is not supported), and an SD card conversion adapter is included.
Pricing is as follows
Sony "SR-64HXA"
17,980 yen (tax included): PC House Toei
18,500 yen (excluding tax): Tsukumo eX.
