USB3-AC05BK, a USB 3.1 cable from Elecom with Type-C connector, is now available!

Elecom has released the USB cable "USB3-AC05BK" that supports USB 3.1, the successor to USB 3.0.

USB3-AC05BK" is a cable compatible with USB 3.1, the next-generation USB standard that achieves a maximum transfer rate of 10Gbps, twice that of USB 3.0.

The cable uses the new "Type-C" connector. While increasing the transfer speed, the terminal has been downsized. It has achieved a size equivalent to micro-B. It also supports so-called "double insertion," which allows connection regardless of whether the connector is on the inside or the outside, greatly improving usability. In addition to these improvements, the new product is also compatible with USB Power Delivery, which can supply 100W of power.

The new Elecom cable uses Type-A on one side and Type-C on the other to connect PCs and USB Type-C equipped devices. At the time of writing, no compatible devices have yet appeared on the market.

In addition, the cable is triple-shielded to prevent external noise interference, and gold-plated pins are used to suppress signal degradation. The cable length is 50 cm, and USB Power Delivery is not supported. The maximum power supply capacity is 5V, 3A.
