Yoshiyuki Tomino participates for the first time as a judge!　Bandai to Start Accepting Gundam Model Contest for "Gundam G Reconguista" on March 14

Gundam G Reconguista Gundam G Reconguista Gunpla Contest" will start on March 14! Entries for the "Gundam G Reconguista Gundam Model Contest" will be accepted on March 14.

This is a contest sponsored by Bandai's Hobby Division, featuring Gundam model kits based on the TV animation series "Gundam G Reconguista. The contest is a competition of Gunpla crafting techniques, painting techniques, and ideas, and a wide range of works are being sought, from "serious works" that make full use of techniques to "joke works" that are filled with ideas. The judges include director Yoshiyuki Tomino, mechanical designers Akira Yasuda, Ippei Katabe, and Kimitoshi Yamane, and Sunrise staff member Katsumi Kawaguchi, aka Kawaguchi Meijin. In particular, Mr. Tomino will be participating for the first time in a contest sponsored by Bandai Hobby Division.

Applications are accepted through the Bandai Hobby website (http://bandai-hobby.net/site/index.html). The application period is from March 14 to June 30, and the judging results will be announced in August (tentative). The prizes are as follows

Yoshiyuki Tomino Award: 1 Gundam Model Kits autographed by Yoshiyuki Tomino
Akira Yasuda Prize: 1 Gundam model kit autographed by the artist
Ippei Katabe Prize: 1 Gundam model kit autographed by Ippei Katabe
Kimitoshi Yamane Award: 1 Gundam model kit autographed by the artist
Studio Prize: 3 Gunpla models autographed by the studio
Bandai prize: Assorted Gundam G Reconguista series Gundam models for 3 persons
Participation Prize: "Gundam G Reconguista poster signed by the staff of the main story" 10 winners selected by drawing from among all applicants
