The anime film "Knights of Sidonia the Movie" has been in theaters since March 6, and a stage greeting was held on March 14-15.

Knights of Sidonia" is an anime work based on the science fiction manga by Tsutomu Nibei, who is known worldwide for his works such as "BLAME! It depicts a battle between the survivors of human beings traveling through space and Gauna, an interactive alien creature that destroys the solar system. Animation production was handled by Polygon Pictures. The film version will be a reconstruction of all 12 episodes of the TV series, with new cuts and sound effects added. The second TV anime season, "Knights of Sidonia: Battle of the Ninth Planet," is scheduled to begin in April 2015.

Staff and cast members participated in stage greetings on March 14-15, splitting into two groups and touring Shinjuku Wald 9, Cinema Sunshine Ikebukuro, Cinema City, TOHO Cinemas LaLaport Yokohama, and TOHO Cinemas Kawasaki to greet and talk with the audience. Below is the report.

March 14.
Aya Suzaki (playing the role of KAN Hoshihiro), Ayane Sakura (playing the role of Kaiun Kirigami), and Tsutomu Nibei (author of "Knights of Sidonia") gave stage greetings today at Shinjuku Wald 9 and Cinema Sunshine Ikebukuro in celebration of the film's release.
The original author, Nibei Tsutomu, was amused by the well-matched talk between Suzaki and Sakura, the personalities of "Radio: Knights of Sidonia - Aya and Ayane's Secret Photosynthesis", and the audience laughed throughout the stage greeting.
Suzaki said, "The other day, I finally got to see the movie in the theater (on the big screen)! Izana is so cute, isn't she? Izana's cuteness is exploding. If I were Chodo, I would fall in love with Izana. (I was happy to see that the drifting scene between Nagamichi and Hoshihaku (my favorite character) was almost completely left out of the TV series. The fact that it's a movie version really brings out the best in the characters." I'm sure some of you have seen the movie many times. I'm sure some of you have seen it many times. Please come to the theater if you want to see it. And please look forward to the new series "Knights of Sidonia: Battle for the Ninth Planet" starting in April, which will also be hotly anticipated!
Sakura: "'Knights of Sidonia' has complicated human relationships. By making it into a theater version, it will be condensed,
I think you will enjoy the movie even more. The theater version has been edited and cut in new ways to add depth. The two hours of concentrated viewing without cutting is a luxurious time. Please also enjoy the dark and strange activities (?) of Kigami Kaiun and Kigami Kaiun in the new series. Please also enjoy the dark and eccentric (?) activities of Kigami Noriou and Kigami Kaiun in the new series.
Nibei: "Thank you very much for today! I was so nervous that everything I had to say blew up (laughs)! The new series and the continuation of the movie are also interesting, so please watch them.
The new series and the continuation of the movie are also interesting, so please watch them. Also the whereabouts of Hoshiro Ena (Hoshiro Ena). If you are interested in the story even more, please read the comics!
Please also read the comics if you are interested in the story! He also mentioned about the new series that will start in April, and excited the audience's anticipation for the second season.

March 15
To commemorate the release of the film, Ryota Osaka (playing the role of Nagamichi Tanikaze), Sayaka Ohara (playing the role of Captain Kobayashi), and atsuko and katsu from angela, who sang the theme song, gave stage greetings at Cinema City, TOHO Cinemas LaLaport Yokohama, and TOHO Cinemas Kawasaki.
They talked about the charm of the film, which has now become a theater version, and about the powerful sound that has been reconstructed for the theater version.
The audience enjoyed the powerful sound reconstructed for the theatrical version of the film.
Osaka: "When you hear it in the theater, you can hear the actors' voices so clearly that it sounds too beautiful and embarrassing for me. But I was impressed by how the sound could bring out so much power."
Ohara: "I thought the sense of realism was amazing. I felt as if I was one of the crew members of the Cydonia, and I thought it was a very experiential work. The captain doesn't react very much, but I felt that the scenes in which he was expressing his emotions stood out on the screen. The powerful sound made the quiet scene of Nagamichi and Hoshihaku drifting through the water stand out. While the power of the film was overwhelming, there were also scenes that made me cry, and Angela's song at the end was very well timed, which was not fair."
ATSUKO "In a movie theater, you can listen to the entire movie in surround sound, and it's nice to hear the sound as if you were in space."
KATSU "Movie theaters have 5.1 channels, so we use five speakers to create the sound, and the sound from the speakers changes according to the movement. The sound from the speakers changes with the movement. The sound in the front is different from the sound in the back, so it will be fun if you are aware of that. Ai, a piece of love" is also in 5.1ch. It's a mix that takes advantage of the surround sound in movie theaters, so I want people to hear a sound they can only hear here."
We also asked about the future of "Knights of Sidonia" with regard to the new series that will begin airing in April.
Aisaka: "The new series was recorded completely prescreened, and I consulted with everyone while recording, but I think the sense of unity with everyone has increased even more. Also, there are more everyday scenes and conversations, so I think you can get to know the characters better." I am very happy to see that so many people have come to see the movie and I would like to continue the movie until the end of the original work, not to say the second season.
Ohara: "In the new series, we will see Nagamichi's growth more clearly. And Captain Kobayashi's role will be reduced, and I hope you will enjoy how her ambitions progress under the surface. The good thing about the theater version is that everyone can share one work. I am happy to share this lovely work with you all."
atsuko: "I have been involved in "Knights of Sidonia" since last year and have written various songs. As a member of Cydonia, I will continue to sing songs with all my heart and soul. I also wrote the opening song for the new series, "Knight's March. I had already put all my energy into "Cydonia," so I wasn't sure what to do with it, but I came up with another interesting song! It turned out to be more of a "Let's go into battle! It turned out to be a rather "Let's go into battle! The next song also has an impressive "KNIGHTS OF SIDONIA" in it, so please look forward to it."
KATSU "'Knight's March' has already been heard by the director and the Polygon staff, and the first time they were like, 'What? But after the second time, they can accept it, and by the third time, they can laugh at it. In my opinion, the TV version and the theater version of "Knights of Sidonia" are completely different things, and there are things that can only be felt in the theater. Let's make the new series a theater version too!"
