NHK Science Animation "Picaiah!" produced by I.G. , TV series + sequel to be broadcast! 15 minutes x 13 episodes

NHK Animation "Picaiah! NHK announced the decision to broadcast a TV series and sequel from "Picaia!



Picaia! is a science animation by NHK Educational, Production I.G, and OLM, a 15-minute animation program with live action that aired on NHK E-television in 2014, and is a work for parents and children to learn about the evolution of life. Directed by Daiki Tomiyasu, series composition by Junichi Fujisaki, and theme song by elfin'. The cast includes Hayato Taya as Vince, Ayaka Suwa as Hana, Kaori Mizuhashi as Picaia, Toru Okawa as Dr. Parker, Hiroshi Nojima as Maurice, Sakae Kinoshita as Irma, Toru Inada as Fraser, and Aimi Tanaka as Wendy.

The TV series and its sequel will be broadcast on NHK E-television, with the fourth episode airing during Golden Week*, followed by the 13th episode as a sequel starting in the summer. In addition, original clear files will be distributed at the Production I.G booth at AnimeJapan 2015.

<Story
Some time in the future. Earth has become uninhabitable, and people have begun interstellar migration based on space colonies. Meanwhile, Vince and Hana, along with Parker, Maurice, and Tester Picaia, as investigators of the Cambrian Project, head to the Cambrian Period, more than 500 million years ago, long before the time of dinosaurs, in search of the Lost Code, the key to the rebirth of a life-rich planet, in biomimetics suits. They head for dimensional research in their biomimetics suits!
