German beer festival comes to Akiba again in 2015! Akihabara Oktoberfest 2015" at Bellesalle Akihabara from March 27 to April 5.

Akihabara Oktoberfest 2015 will be held at Bellesalle Akihabara from March 27 to April 5.

This is the Akihabara version of "Oktoberfest," an outdoor event inspired by the large-scale beer festival held in Munich, Germany. Like the year before last and the year before last, it will be hosted by the International Food Culture Exchange Association.

This year's breweries include Hofbräu, a beer made for the royal family; Spaten, the 600-year-old inventor of lager beer; Franziskaner, a luxury beer that uses more than 50% wheat in addition to barley; and Flensburger, a dry beer from northern Germany. In addition, German dishes that go well with beer and stage events (to be announced at any time) will be available. Hours are from 11:00 to 21:00 (*from 16:00 on the first day only). Admission is free.

Incidentally, last year's price range was 1,000-1,500 yen for a regular size beer and 2,500-3,000 yen for a liter size. German dishes were available from 500 yen for an individual dish and 2,000 yen for an assortment, and there were also B-class gourmet food stalls.
