TV anime version of "Ghost in the Shell ARISE" reveals new characters in new episodes! Pyromania, a follower of the cyber virus

New characters have been announced for the TV anime "Ghost in the Shell ARISE ALTERNATIVE ARCHITECTURE," which will start in April.

This is a reconstructed version of "Ghost in the Shell ARISE," the latest in the world popular masterpiece science fiction "Ghost in the Shell" series, of which four chapters were screened in theaters from June 2013, with two completely new episodes. The story is set on the eve of the formation of the Ghost in the Shell, and depicts how the young Motoko Kusanagi came to establish the Ghost in the Shell, a special offensive special forces unit. General director and character design is by Kazuya Kise, series composition by Tow Ubukata, and animation production by Production I.G.

The new character Pyromania, who will appear in the new episode, has been unveiled. He is a cyber virus broker who is a follower of the cyber virus "Fire Starter," which holds an important key throughout the series. He believes in the potential of Fire Starter and is dedicated to its dissemination, and has been in contact with Colonel Hodzumi of the Army Intelligence Service. He also said, "U.S. intelligence has identified him as Galvez, a person of South American descent, but the details of his identity are unknown. He sometimes hums passages from 'Angel of Fire.'"


In addition to this, the theme song for "Ghost in the Shell: The New Movie," which will be released on June 20." The song is called "Still Ugoku" under the name "Maaya Sakamoto Cornelius," and the CD will be released on June 17 as a W tie-in single that includes the coupling with "What Keeps You" (the OP theme song for the TV anime "Ghost in the Shell: ARISE ALTERNATIVE ARCHITECTURE").
