The anime "WIMUSUSHI PEDAL" is based on the manga by Wataru Watanabe, which is serialized in Weekly Shonen Champion. It is a sports story about an otaku boy who enters the world of cycling after meeting his friends and aims for the Inter-High School Championships. The first season was broadcast over a three-cour period and gained high popularity as a dark horse. In September 2014, a newly edited version of the Inter High Arc, "Weak Pedal Re:RIDE," was shown in theaters for two weeks only, and the second TV anime season, "Weak Pedal GRANDE ROAD," began airing in October. In the summer of 2015, the first feature film "YAMUSUME PEDAL THE MOVIE" will be released.
