Akiba Spill] microSD card x 120 card set & SD card x 40 card set are now on sale.

Akiba Spilling Story" is an irregular column introducing PC parts and digital gadgets that the Akiba Research Institute staff found interesting during interviews.




SanMax microSD card (capacity: 16GB) x 120 cards set and SD card (capacity: 2GB) x 40 cards set are now on sale at Techno House Toei and PC House Toei.

The sales POPs say "...adult circumstances" and "please guess", which seems somewhat wacky, but the microSD cards and SD cards are of course brand new.

The price for a set of 120 microSD cards (capacity: 16GB) is 50,000 yen (including tax), or about 417 yen per card, while the price for SD cards (capacity: 2GB) is 10,000 yen (including tax), or 250 yen per card.

It seems unlikely that an individual would have the opportunity to use such a large amount of cards, but the cards lined up in a tray are quite spectacular. If you are interested, why not visit the store?
