A guesthouse-type hotel "GRIDS Akihabara" will open on April 21.


This is a guesthouse-type hotel for foreign tourists, created by The Sankei Building Co. THE TRAVELLERS HUB Connecting travelers. Connecting people. Connecting hearts. The name of the hotel is derived from the word "GRIDS," meaning lattice. The theme color of the hotel is "Suoh-iro," a traditional Japanese color that evokes the bustle and stylish lifestyle of the old downtown area.

The hotel will offer several types of guest rooms to accommodate a variety of lodging units, from one person to a group." The design is based on elegant and functional Japanese design, with elements such as the neon sign of Akihabara, an electric town, to give guests a sense of the town in which they will be staying. In addition to a café/bar on the first floor and a common space for guests on the seventh floor, the hotel will also sell original goods such as tenugui hand towels and uchiwa fans that remind one of Japanese traditions.


The location is near Mikurabashi Bridge on Kiyosubashi Street in the Asakusabashi direction (8-16, Higashi-Kanda 2-chome, Chiyoda-ku). It is an 8F reinforced concrete structure (34 years old) with a site area of 169.27 square meters and a total floor space of 998.30 square meters. Room rates are as follows
