The TV anime "SHOW BY ROCK!" which will start in April The first episode was screened last weekend.

SHOW BY ROCK! (show by rock) is a band-themed game app for smartphones that combines the elements of a sound game in which players touch the screen to the rhythm with the elements of character development. As of September 2014, it has been downloaded more than 600,000 times, and is the first anime work released from Sanrio's first character project for game/anime fans. It is an original story that combines unique band sounds with human drama, and is scheduled to be broadcast in the late-night slot instead of the morning slot.

Prior to the start of the first episode on April 5, events were held on March 28 (Sanrio Puroland) and March 29 (Shinjuku Piccadilly) to show the first episode. The events were attended by voice actors and staff, and included a game showdown corner in a battle format. The following is the report.

It was also announced that the BD/DVD will be released on June 24 in six volumes. The first volume of the series will include the opening and ending titles without any subtitles and the application game "SHOW BY ROCK! TV anime "SHOW BY ROCK! Episode 1 Advance Screening at Sanrio Puroland
On March 28 (Sat), an advance screening of the first episode and a talk show by the cast and staff were held at Sanrio Puroland. In the midst of many female fans, Koki Uchiyama, who plays Ione, and Ayumi Murase, who plays Riku, read out notes in shadow narration at the opening of the show. After the character voices, which were prerecorded from the anime, heated up the audience, the screening of the first episode started.
After the screening, Uchiyama and Murase, director Takahiro Ikezoe and animation producer Makoto Watanabe (BONES) appeared on stage to loud applause. In a talk about the first episode, the staff & cast members said they were as surprised as the audience at the wonderful CG part. In the introduction of the bands, Uchiyama said of the "Singan Crimsons" that "they are a group of strong characters" and director Ikezoe said "they are in charge of comedy". As for "TriChronica," Mr. Murase repeated that "TriChronica belongs to a major label," and Mr. Uchiyama excited the audience with a behind-the-scenes story: "In the script, all of Shu*Zo's lines have a ☆ mark at the end of them.
The event concluded with a message to the audience. All the comments conveyed that "interesting developments will continue after the second episode," and expectations for future developments were high.

TV anime "SHOW BY ROCK! Episode 1 Puru Puru Advance Screening! @ Shinjuku Piccadilly
On March 29 (Sun.), an advance screening of the first episode and a talk show by the cast and staff were held at Shinjuku Piccadilly. While many female fans were seen at Sanrio Puroland the day before, many male fans also came to the event. The powerful images and sounds were presented on the big screen of Shinjuku Piccadilly. After the screening, Eri Inagawa, who plays Sian, Aimi Numakura, who plays Lettie, Saori Hayami, who plays A, Rina Hidaka, who plays Rosia, and Doko Waitada, who is the series director, appeared on the stage to loud applause. In introducing the bands "Plasmajica," "Tsurenaru kanjiru Kirigenan," and "Kritikurista," as well as the characters they play, they said, "Rosia's lines about being the head of 'azato-gaku' are rather challenging, but even those lines can be forgiven when Hidaka-san speaks them.
