Commemorating the TAAF "Anime of the Year Grand Prix" award for the TV anime "Ping Pong," all 11 episodes of the anime and one volume of the comic were distributed free of charge for a limited time.

As previously reported, the TV anime "Ping Pong" won the Grand Prix in the "Anime of the Year TV category" at the Tokyo Anime Awards Festival 2015, which was held from March 19 (Thursday) to 23 (Monday), 2015. To commemorate this event, the anime "Ping Pong" and volume 1 of the e-comic "Ping Pong" will be available for free on Fuji TV On Demand ( # ) for a limited period of one week starting today.

The TV anime "Ping Pong" is an anime adaptation of the popular manga "Ping Pong" written by Taiyo Matsumoto and aired on Fuji TV's "Noitamina" from April 2014 to June 2014. Set at a high school ping-pong inter-high school tournament, the story follows Peco (Yutaka Hoshino), a free-spirited and confident young boy who belongs to the Katase High School ping-pong club, and Smile (Makoto Tsukino), a cool, non-smiling boy who is a childhood friend, as they battle against China (Kong Wenga), a student from China, and the evergreen Kaiou Academy, led by Dragon (Ryuichi Kazama). The film also depicts the growth of Peko, who falls into a pinch as Smile's talent blossoms. Director Masaaki Yuasa's faithful reproduction of the original work and his unique touch in creating a sense of speed drew a great response to this unique work.

For those who missed it when it was broadcast, this is a good opportunity to take a closer look at this work, which is considered a masterpiece. The free distribution period is from today, March 30 (Mon.) to April 5 (Sun.).
