Kana Hanazawa starring in the movie "Kimi ni iru shite shotta nai nai da" (You have to be there, it's not me) - Opening day greetings report

The live-action film "Kimi ga irasshutta dakanena da" starring popular voice actress Kana Hanazawa began advance screenings at Theatre Shinjuku in Tokyo on Saturday, March 28, 2015. In conjunction with the screening, lead actress Kana Hanazawa, co-star Shigemitsu Ogi, and director Tetsuya Murakami gave stage greetings.

After the 13:00 screening, the greetings began after 14:25. Kana Hanazawa appeared in a white one-piece dress in a venue filled with spectators, many of whom were standing around. She took the stage with Ms. Ogi and Director Murakami to talk about the movie "Kimi ga Iru Shutsudanai.

I thought how extravagant it was to be cranked-in in New York for the first movie I'm starring in," said Ms. Hanazawa. However, the extremely tight schedule and the fact that he was shooting a live-action film, which he was not used to, "pushed me into a corner a lot (laughter).

Mr. Shigemitsu Ogi, who plays her father, asked Ms. Hanazawa directly on the stage, "What is the difference between an actress and a voice actor? He replied, "In anime postrecording, you basically do one scene, but in live-action films, you have to shoot the same scene many times from various angles, and for example, in a tearful scene, you have to shed tears many times at the same time. That was difficult..." he answered.

The music for the film was composed by Katsutoshi Kitagawa (ROUND TABLE), who has supported Kana Hanazawa's musical activities throughout her career. Ms. Hanazawa said, "Mr. Kitagawa put on the music while watching the video. Mr. Kitagawa-san put on the sound with great attention to detail. So I hope you will pay attention to the music in the film.

The audience laughed throughout the filming, and at Mr. Hanazawa's suggestion, the greeting ended with a call and response to the words "You have to be there," to which the entire audience responded "No, I can't." The venue was filled with a warm atmosphere, just like the content of the film.
