Interview with Mashiro Ayano! Born from a cocoon in the first single and "flying away" in the second single! Mashiro Ayano continues to grow, looking straight ahead!

Mashiro Ayano made an impressive debut with "ideal white," the opening song for the first season of the TV anime "Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works]. She has quickly gained recognition from anime fans, and her new single "vanilla sky" shows new possibilities!
With sound produced by toku (GARNiDELiA) and lyrics written by meg rock, this song is one that the artists cannot help but pay attention to.

Two encounters that paved the way for me as an artist

─ I understand that the new song "vanilla sky" was sound-produced by TOKU (GARNiDELiA).
Ayano: That's right. I am very happy to collaborate with GARNiDELiA, as we are usually good friends with them.

─ ─ In the six months since your debut, have you had many contacts with various artists?

Ayano: I am inspired by many people. I am shy, so it is difficult for me to speak to people aggressively, but all of them have attractive artist styles, so I would like to get to know them better and talk to them about various things.

─ I heard that you and Eir Aoi are good friends.

Ayano: Yes. She often takes me out to dinner.

─ ─ You are both from Hokkaido, right? Was it Eir Aoi's music activities that attracted you to anime songs in the first place?

Ayano: After graduating from high school and moving to Sapporo, I was trying to pursue a career in music, and I was wondering what kind of artist I should be, when Eir Aoi made her debut. I didn't know her from Sapporo at first, but when I heard her debut song, her voice sounded great. I immediately felt a kind of admiration for her, and I wanted to learn more about the anime music in which she was active.

───Then you met the music producer Fumio Yasuda, who is also closely associated with Eir Aoi.

Ayano: Meeting Mr. Yasuda opened the way for me. He gave me precise advice on what kind of range suited my voice and what kind of tune I was suited to, and we worked together to find my own music. Without that time, I don't think I would be where I am today.

─ So, Mr. Ayre and Ms. Yasuda were a big part of your growth. I made my major label debut last October with "ideal white. When I first heard the song, I felt the vocals were powerful, not unlike a newcomer.

Ayano Thank you very much! I am always conscious of singing powerfully because I often use my high register. Since the theme of "ideal white" was the "birth" of artist Mashiro Ayano, I think the power of the song came out even more strongly.
