Live-action Patlabor, life-size Ingram pays a courtesy visit to the Japan Air Self-Defense Force!　Decked out and previewed at Chikuki Air Base, Fukuoka, Japan

THE NEXT GENERATION PATLABOR" is a live-action version of the classic anime "Mobile Police Patlabor," and a life-size Ingram made a courtesy visit to the Japan Air Self-Defense Force.

The film is also notable for the total production cost of 2.2 billion yen, including the 8-meter-long life-size Type 98 Ingram and the fully realized Section 2 building with a Laberdog attached, etc. Starting with the first chapter (Episodes 0-1) on April 5, 2014, the final chapter, Chapter 7 (Episode 12 "The Great Legacy"), will be screened on January 10, 2015. This time, a life-size Ingram paid a courtesy visit to the Air Self-Defense Force's Tsukijyo Air Base (Fukuoka Prefecture) as a token of appreciation for the full cooperation of the Self-Defense Forces (Ministry of Defense, Air Self-Defense Force, and Ground Self-Defense Force) for the feature film version. At the base, a deck-up and movie preview was held for the Self-Defense Forces personnel. The Chikki Air Base has been recording flight images of fighter aircraft such as the F-2 and F-15, as well as cockpit-eye-view footage of them in flight, and a joint photo shoot with Ingram was finally realized.
