Weak Pedal holds an event at one of the largest cycling facilities in Japan! Six cast members appeared on their own favorite road bikes!

An anime film "YAMUSUME PEDAL THE MOVIE" will be released in the summer, and a public radio recording event was held on April 19 in Izu, Japan.


The anime "YAMUSUME PEDAL" is based on the manga by Wataru Watanabe, which is serialized in Weekly Shonen Champion. It is a sports story about an otaku boy who enters the world of cycling after meeting his friends and aims for the Inter-High School Championships. The first season was broadcast over a three-cour period and gained high popularity as a dark horse. In September 2014, a newly edited version of the Inter High Arc, "Weak Pedal Re:RIDE," was shown in theaters for two weeks only, and from October to March 2015, the second TV anime season, "Weak Pedal GRANDE ROAD," aired. was broadcasted from October to March 2015. In the summer of 2015, the first full-length feature film "YAMUSUME PEDAL THE MOVIE" will be released.

On April 19, an event was held at the "Izu Velodrome" in the Cycle Sports Center, one of the largest cycling facilities in Japan, located in Shuzenji, Izu. This was the first time in history that an anime event was held at the facility, and a public recording of the web radio program "Weak Pedal Grand Road Radio! was held. The guests were Kentaro Ito playing the role of Tadokoro Xun, Tsubasa Dainaga playing the role of Manami Yamasa, Hiroyuki Yoshino playing the role of Arakita Yasutomo, and Hiroshi Nojima playing the role of Ishigaki Kotaro. As the venue was a real-life cycling facility that also appeared in the anime, the six who also ride road bikes in their private time, appeared on stage on their favorite bikes. The 650 fans gathered at the venue cheered loudly as they raced around the track (banked).
