M.2/mSATA version of the 3D V-NAND SSD "850 EVO" series is now available!
SAMSUNG's 850 EVO series of SSDs employing 3D-V NAND technology is now available in mSATA and M.2 models.
The lineup consists of three mSATA models : the 120GB capacity "MZ-M5E120" and 500GB capacity "MZ-M5E500" models, and the250GB capacity "MZ-N5E250" M. 2 model.
The850 EVO series isa consumer-oriented SSD that uses 3D V-NAND technology, in which memory cells are stacked vertically in a three-dimensional manner.
The main specifications of the mSATA model are sequential transfer rate: read: up to 540 MB/s, write: up to 520 MB/s. Random 4K performance: read: up to95,000 IOPS (120GB model), up to 97,000 IOPS (500GB model), write: up to 88,000 IOPS.
Key specifications for the M.2 model include sequential transfer rates of up to 540MB/s read and 500MB/s write; random 4K performance of up to 97,000 IOPS read and 89,000 IOPS write; and M.2 Type 2280 substrate size.
