HyperX Predator PCIe SSD, a PCIe SSD with up to 1,400 MB/s read, from Kingston!

The HyperX Predator PCIe SSD, a PCIe SSD with a maximum read capacity of 1,400 MB/s, is now available from Kingston.

The lineup includes two models: the 240GB capacity model SHPM2280P2H/240G and the 480GB capacity model SHPM2280P2H/480G.

The SHPM2280P2H/240G and SHPM2280P2H/480G are PCI Express x4 connection models of theM.2 SSDs SHPM2280P2/240G and SHPM2280P2/480G that were released last week.

Other than the connection interface, the specifications are the same as the M.2 models, and theyfeature transfer rates exceeding SATA 6Gbps, with read speeds of up to 1,400MB/s and write speeds of up to 600MB/s (240GB model)/1,000MB/s (480GB model).

The SHPM2280P2H/240G features specifications of 1,400MB/sec read, 600 MB/sec write, 160,000 IOPS random read, and 119,000 IOPS random write.

The SHPM2280P2H/480G features specifications of 1,400MB/sec read, 1,000 MB/sec write, 130,000 IOPS random read, 118,000 IOPS random write.

Other common specifications include a Marvell 88SS9293 onboard controller, idle power consumption of 1.38W (average 1.4W), read power consumption of up to 1.99W on read, 8.25W on write, and MTBF of 1 million hours. A low-profile bracket is included as an accessory.
