USB 3.1/A+C, a USB 3.1 port expansion card with PCI Express x4 connection,is now available from ASRock.

USB 3.1/A+C" is an expansion card with USB 3.1 ports, a new USB standard that achievesa transfer rate of 10Gbps (theoretical value), twice asfastas USB 3.0.

In addition to a standard-size USB 3.1 (Type-A) port, the card is equipped with a USB 3.1 (Type-C) port that can be inserted with theUSBconnector facing either front or back.

The main specifications are as follows: the connection interface is PCI Express x4; the onboard ports are one USB 3.1 (Type-A) port and one USB 3.1 (Type-C) port; the controller chip is ASMedia's "ASM1142".

T he company's X99 Extreme4/3.1 and Z97 Extreme4/3.1 motherboards with "USB 3.1/A+C" included are also available at the same time.
