Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F" nears 1 billion yen in box-office revenue in its first two days! 140% compared to the previous film, and the final box-office revenue of 5 billion yen is within the range.

The animated film "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F," which opened in theaters on April 18, is off to a great start, grossing over 960 million yen in its first two days.

Following "Dragon Ball Z: Gods and Gods," which was released in March 2013 as the first movie version in 17 years, this is the 19th Dragon Ball movie. It is a sequel to the previous "Gods and Gods," and is also notable for being scripted by the original author, Akira Toriyama, himself. The director is Naoki Yamamuro, a long-time animation director for the series, who participated in the previous film as the chief animation director. The cast includes Masako Nozawa, Ryusei Nakao, Koichi Yamadera, Seiichi Morita, Ryo Horikawa, Shoji Sato, Hiromi Tsuru, Mayumi Tanaka, Toshio Furukawa, Takeshi Kusao, Hikaru Midorikawa, and Yuko Minaguchi. The theme song is sung by the idol unit Momoiro Clover Z.

The film was released on April 18 on 653 screens (2D x 325/3D x 300/4DX x 10/IMAX 3D x 18), the largest in Toei's history, and drew approximately 716,000 people in its first two days, recording box-office revenue of over 960 million yen. Compared to the previous film ("Dragon Ball Z: Gods and Gods" in 2013), which grossed close to 3 billion yen, the film has performed extremely well, with 127.4% of the total number of visitors and 140.3% of the total box-office revenue.

The final box-office revenue of 5 billion yen is also in sight.
