MSI has released the 970A SLI Krait Edition, the first USB 3.1 motherboard to support AMD CPUs.
The 970A SLI Krait Edition is an AMD 970 motherboard equipped with a USB 3.1 (Type-A) port that delivers a theoretical transfer rate of 10 Gbps, twice the speed of USB 3.0. ASMedia "ASM1142" is used as the USB 3.1 controller chip.
The main specifications are as follows: thesupported CPU socket is Socket AM3+, and the supported form factor is ATX .Expansion slots are PCI Express 2.0 x16 x 2, PCI Express 2.0 x1 x 2, and PCI x 2.
