Microsoft Band, Microsoft's multifunctional fitness band, is now available!

The " Microsoft Band," a multifunctional fitness band made by Microsoft that measures daily activity and sleep and can be managed in conjunction with a smartphone app, is now on sale at Jan-gle's Akihabara flagship store.




The "Microsoft Band" is a wristband-type activity meter that can measure the user's heart rate, number of steps, calorie consumption, and other activity data, as well as map walking data, UV radiation levels, sleep data, and more.

Recorded data can be viewed with thecloud-based health management app/service"Microsoft Health," as well as the Android/iOS running app "RunKeeper" and diet app "MapMyFitness.

It also supports Bluetooth connection to smartphones for incoming call/email/appointment notifications and SNS integration. In addition, when connected to a Windows Phone 8.1 device, the digital assistant Cortana can be voice-controlled from the "Microsoft Band.


The main specifications are as follows: body size of 11 x 33 mm, weight of 60 g, ARM Cortex-M4 CPU, 1.4-inch (320 x 106 dots) processor display, 64 MB storage capacity, and Bluetooth 4.0 (LE) connection interface. Other features include a microphone, GPS, sensors (heart rate, acceleration, gyrometer, illumination, skin temperature measurement sensor, UV sensor, and galvanic skin response ), and dust and splash resistance.Power is provided by a built-in battery with 48 hours of continuous operation. Supported operating systems are Windows Phone 8.1 update, iOS 8.1.2 or higher, and Android 4.3 to 5.0. Two sizes of in-stock models are available: S and M size.
