The second season of the TV series "Assassination Classroom," a TV anime currently being broadcast, has been announced.

Assassination Classroom" is an anime work based on the manga (serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump) by Yuuki Matsui of "Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro" fame. The story follows a year in the life of "Kakushi Sensei," a homeroom teacher of "End no E class," a failing class of junior high school students with Mach 20 speed and enormous power who declares that he will destroy the earth, and his students who take on the "Kakushi Sensei assassination mission" to save the earth. The live-action film version, which was released on March 21, 2015, was a blockbuster hit, grossing over 2.5 billion yen at the box office, and a sequel has been decided to be produced.

The second season of the TV series will continue to unfold in the second half of the season, including the final exam in which Class E struggles against the elites of Class A led by Gakushu Asano (CV: Mamoru Miyano), the student council president, and a large-scale assassination plot against Kakusensei outside the classroom. In addition, the 14th volume of the original comics will be released on May 1.
