This time, a video interview from Guillermo del Toro, director of the Hollywood blockbuster robot movie "Pacific Rim," has arrived. He professes to be greatly influenced by Japanese animation and special effects, and during his visit to Japan for "Blade 2," he went to the studio to observe Mr. Oshii's drawing and was impressed by the way he worked hard to draw by hand despite the transition to computer graphics. He also revealed that it was that James Cameron who gave him the opportunity to see "Patlabor. He said that the idea there was "the pursuit of reality and making a film that could realistically happen," which he incorporated into Pacific Rim. He concluded, "I look forward to seeing your work when you bring it out into the world, whatever the medium. And this world is a better place because you are here to tell the stories.
