The immortal masterpiece "The Adventures of Gamba", 3DCG adaptation by Shirogumi! Animated film "GAMBA Gamba and Friends" to be released in theaters on October 10

It was announced that the animated film "GAMBA Gamba and Friends" will be released on October 10.

This is a 3DCG animation film based on the classic children's novel "The Adventurers: Gamba and His 15 Friends," whose TV animation version, "Gamba's Adventure" (1975), is known for its high quality that is hard to believe it was made for children. The film is produced by Shirogumi, the same company that created the outstanding 3DCG animation for the blockbuster hit "STAND BY ME Doraemon," and uses today's most advanced visual technology to depict an epic adventure story in which a group of small mice join forces to fight a giant enemy. It is said to be a major project that took 15 years from conception to completion, took 10 years to produce, and cost 2 billion yen in total.

The staff includes Marvel CEO Avi Arad, who has worked on films such as "Spider-Man," "Iron Man," and "X-Men," as executive producer, and Yoichi Ogawa, vice president of Shirogumi, as planning and general director. The directors are Tomohiro Kawamura of "Careless Penelope" and Takahiro Komori of "Rule of Rose," and the screenplay is by Ryota Furusawa of "Always: Sunset on Third Street," "Yosei Beast," "Partners," and "Legal High. This will be his first time writing an animated screenplay. The music is by Benjamin Wolfish, who provided the music for "Still the Night Awaits," which won three Academy Awards including Best Picture at the 86th Academy Awards. The full orchestra recorded the music at Abbey Road Studios in London, which is also known for the Beatles' recordings.

In conjunction with the announcement, the first PV was also released.
