Akihabara ranked 9th in the ranking of desired locations for restaurant openings! 4th in the competition index, following Nakameguro/Yokohama/Meguro

Akihabara ranked ninth in the 2015 ranking of "Towns Where Restaurants Want to Open Restaurants" by Restaurants.com.

This is the result of a survey conducted on the site from January to March 2015 by Restaurant.COM (http://www.inshokuten.com/), a restaurant opening and operation support site with over 84,000 members. The ranking is based on the numerical ranking of popular stations and competitiveness as potential locations for opening new restaurants.

*Method of tabulation for popular stations: Based on the number of "Register a preferred property" function, which allows restaurant.com members to register their preferred stations.
*Competitiveness index calculation method: Based on the number of properties registered on restaurants.com during the same period and the number of desired property registrations (calculation formula: number of desired property registrations divided by number of properties).

The top 10 are terminal stations such as Shibuya, Shinjuku, and Ikebukuro, chalet towns such as Ebisu, Nakameguro/Meguro, and Yokohama, and Lehman Towns such as Shinbashi and Kanda, among which Akihabara ranks ninth. The competition index was 2.1, following Nakameguro (3.7), Yokohama (3.1), and Meguro (2.9), indicating the high popularity and difficulty of opening/managing stores. Incidentally, Akihabara was ranked 8th (competition index 2.1) in the same ranking last year.
