Euphonium" is an adolescent entertainment novel "Hibike! Euphonium" is based on the novel "Hibike! Euphonium: Welcome to Kita-Uji High School Brass Band" (original story by Ayano Takeda). Set in a high school brass band club, it is a coming-of-age story that depicts how the female members of the club seriously engage in club activities under the strict guidance of their newly appointed advisor. Directed by Tatsuya Ishihara of the "Chuunibyou de Koi ga Shitai! series, series composition by Juki Hanada, character design by Akiko Ikeda, and series direction by Naoko Yamada. Animation production will be handled by Kyoto Animation.

The BD/DVD information has been released. 7 BD/DVD volumes will be released one volume per month starting in June, with the first volume to be released on June 17 containing the second episode. The first volume will be released on June 17 and will come with a special three-sided case, an illustration card [Asuka Tanaka], an eye-catching postcard, a 16-page booklet with various materials and explanations of terms, and a priority ticket application for the October 24 presentation of instrumental performances by the four main cast members. In addition, the following video and audio extras will be included.
