Microsoft's Windows 8.1 tablet "Surface 3" with "Atom x" seriesCPU(development code name: Cherry Trail) is now on sale at Jan-gle Akihabara main store.

The Surface 3 is a Windows 8.1 tablet not yet released in Japan, equipped with the Atom x7-Z8700 ( clock speed: 1.6GHz (2.4GHz at turbo boost) / quad-core) and a 10.8-inch display (1,920 x 1,280 pixels).

The CPU "Atom x7-Z8700" isthe top model of the "Atom x" series (development code name: Cherry Trail), and features improved GPU performance, which is about 1.5 times better than Bay Trail .

The main specifications are as follows: the onboard OS is Windows 8.1;the CPU is the Intel "Atom x7-Z8700" (operating clock: 1.6 GHz (2.4 GHz at turbo boost)/quad-core). The display is a 10.8-inch LCD with 10-point multi-touch (1,920 x 1,080 pixels). Memory is 4 GB and internal storage is 128 GB. Other features include wireless LAN (IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac), microSD card slot (up to 64 GB), front (3.5 megapixel)/rear (8 megapixel) camera, Bluetooh 4.0, MiniDisplayPort, USB 3.0, stereo speakers, and dual microphones.

The unit measures approximately 267 (W) x 187 (D) x 8.7 (H) mm and weighs 622 g.
