Voice-over unit "Rhodanthe*" makes a big announcement in front of 5,000 fans! Report on the event to celebrate the release of their 2nd single
The voice actress unit "Rhodanthe*" held an event to celebrate the release of their 2nd single on May 3.
Rhodanthe*" is a voice acting unit consisting of five main cast members of TV anime "Kiniro Mosaic" which has been broadcast since July 2013: Asuka Nishi (playing Shinobu Omiya), Manami Tanaka (playing Alice Carteret), Risa Taneda (playing Aya Koji), Yumi Uchiyama (playing Yoko Inokuma), and Nao Higashiyama (playing (played by KUJO Karen). In addition to singing the theme song and character songs of the work, they have been very popular, with live events such as the unveiling event at the Ikebukuro Sunshine Fountain Plaza, ANIMAX MUSIX 2013, Kiniro Mosaic Festa, and their solo live performance at Zepp Tokyo being packed to capacity. Incidentally, the name of the unit comes from a pretty flower, also called "Hanakanzashi" in Japanese. The language of flowers is "changeless love.
The song is the opening theme song for the TV anime "Hello! Kiniro Mosaic" was held at Lazona Kawasaki Plaza on May 3 to celebrate the April 29 release of their 2nd single, which includes the opening theme song "Yumeiro Parade" and the ending theme song "My Best Friends. There were some happenings (?), such as enthusiastic fans who rushed to the event early in the morning getting caught up in a tai chi event. In the end, the event was attended by about 5,000 fans. Here is the report.
On May 3, a sunny day, a large crowd of fans had gathered in front of the Roofa Plaza Grand Stage on the second floor of Lazona Kawasaki Plaza since early morning to watch the event of "Rhodanthe*," a unit formed by five voice actresses (Asuka Nishi, Manami Tanaka, Risa Taneda, Yumi Uchiyama, and Nao Higashiyama). The fans gathered to watch the event.
The MC (moderator) appeared on stage just as the event was about to start at 13:00. The MC announced that an open rehearsal was about to begin, and the five members of Rhodanthe* appeared on stage wearing costumes in five different colors to match their image colors, to the cheers of the fans who had been waiting to see them. It was hard to believe that this was a rehearsal.
A little after 13:00, the five members of Rhodanthe* appeared on stage again. Finally, the main event began. The live started with "Your Voice," the ending theme of the anime "Kiniro Mosaic. The song is a jazzy song, which is rare in anime, and the formation that they change while singing it is very attractive.
The second song, "My Best Friends," was performed for the first time in front of the fans. This song is the ending theme song for the currently airing anime "Hello! Kiniro Mosaic," and the moment the intro started, the audience cheered "Oh, wow! The moment the intro to the song came on, the audience cheered.
After finishing the two songs, the five members of Rhodanthe* lined up at the center of the stage and greeted the audience with the promised "Hello, everyone! and the promised greeting, "Hello, everyone! The 5,000 fans in attendance responded in unison with "Konnichiwa! The usual Lazona Kawasaki is a shopping mall.
Lazona Kawasaki is usually a shopping mall, but when I saw the crowd of enthusiastic fans filling the plaza in front of the stage, I was almost under the illusion that I was at an outdoor festival. The crowd of holiday shoppers was so enthusiastic that it almost gave the illusion that the venue was an outdoor festival. Even holiday shoppers were surprised to see the crowd filling the venue, and seemed to stop to take a look at the stage.
After a short break, the third song was the theme song for the anime "Kiniro Mosaic" "Jumping! This up-tempo song is one of Rhodanthe*'s most popular songs and has been the most exciting song at all of their past live performances. In fact, Rhodanthe* held an event to commemorate the release of this song at the Ikebukuro Sunshine City Fountain Plaza in July 2013, the same year it was released. At the time, it was amazing to see Rhodanthe* attract 2,000 people at the newly formed event, but today the number is more than double that, a sign that Rhodanthe*'s activities are being recognized by their fans.
After "Jumping! was over, followed by the nonstop May (satsuki) song "Satsuki-iro Haruzion". The five members waved their hands in the chorus, and the audience cheered them on by waving their hands along with the choreography.
After the four songs, a mini talk show followed. Nishi and Tanaka talked about "the story before coming to the venue," while Taneda, Uchiyama, and Higashiyama told a farce in which they were "upset with the staff." The fans, who had been enthralled by the music, were now charmed by the funny stories. The unique atmosphere of the five members of Rhodanthe*, who have always been good friends, was still there.
When the talk came to a close, Nishi began to speak with a meaningful expression on his face, saying, "I have an important announcement to make. As the audience fell silent, Nishi said, "We, Rhodanthe*, are ......," to which Higashiyama immediately responded, "We will all have blond hair! Higashiyama immediately responded, "We will all have blond hair! The same trend continued when Ms. Taneda said, "We are breaking up! Then, the real big announcement was made. The cast members announced directly to the fans that they would be performing at "Animelo Summer Live 2015 (Anisama)," a major anime song event. This surprised the assembled fans, who cheered the loudest of the day. Although details were not announced at the time, it was later announced that Rhodanthe* would perform on the final day of Anisama (August 30).
After the talk show to get the audience excited, the last song of the event, "Yumeiro Parade," was performed. Hello! After four of Rhodanthe*'s greatest hits and a talk show with a big announcement, it was impossible not to get excited. The tension between the members and the audience was at its highest as they gathered in the center of the stage and sang, "Let's dream a lot more with a smile on our faces," to thunderous cheers. The theme of "Kiniro Mosaic" in both the original work and the anime is "yuru-fuwa (loose-fitting)," but it was hard to imagine that from what I saw on stage. If those who saw the live performance without knowing about the work were to watch the anime, they would surely be taken aback. After about four minutes of enthusiastic call and response to "Yumeiro Parade," Rhodanthe*'s event to celebrate the release of their new song came to an end.
After the live performance, the members greeted the audience and took commemorative photos. After the live performance, the audience was greeted by the members, photographed, and given posters as a special purchase bonus, and the members were given a send-off. The original plan was for the event to last 30 minutes, but as usual with the "Rhodanthe*" unit, which has a strong service mentality, the event went over its scheduled time and was a lot of fun. Fans who attended must have had a meaningful time. (text by: Pon Sato)
