From the anime "Code Geass: Akito the Exiled," a staff talk show report on the third chapter "Shining Thing: Fallen from Heaven," which began showing in theaters on May 2, has arrived.

Code Geass: Akito the Exiled" is the latest work set in the period between the first and second seasons of the "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion" anime series, and is being screened in theaters in four chapters. Chapter 3, "Shining Things Fall from the Sky," will be screened on May 2, 2015, and Chapter 4, "From the Memory of Hatred," will be screened on July 4, 2015. Chapter 4 was originally scheduled to be the final chapter, but a fifth chapter is now in the works.

The staff talk show report for Chapter 3, "Shining Things Fall from the Sky," has arrived. The staff talk show was held on May 15 at Shinjuku Wald 9, where director Kazuki Akane, character designer Takahiro Kimura, and chief animation director Shuichi Shimamura shared behind-the-scenes stories. Here is the report.

The first topic that came up during the explanation of their respective jobs was the ethnic costumes worn by Akito and his friends in the first half of the show. Director Akane said, "CLAMP's original plan is beautiful, but I thought it would be difficult to draw it because it has many parts," to which Kimura added, "If we ask CLAMP, we are asking for something that animators who prioritize ease of movement cannot come up with. That's why I wanted the original artists to do their best and drew the designs for the animation. Then I ended up being in charge of the original drawings for the dance scene (laughs).
Director Akane also mentioned that he was surprised by the way Ayano wore her pilot's suit. The boldly revealing the front of the suit was actually Shimamura's idea. Ayano started out as a rather cool character, but she is an open-minded girl," said Shimamura. I drew her because I thought that once you get to know her, you will be interested in various aspects of her.
The next topic of discussion was Julius Kingsley and Kururugi Suzaku, two characters that many fans are interested in. Director Akane introduced the recording session by saying, "Jun Fukuyama and Takahiro Sakurai have already created their characters, so when the recording session was over, I was like, 'Oh, I see. Mr. Shimamura confessed, "Those two characters took a lot of nerve apart from the main characters. Unlike the characters in "Akito," who stand up straight, Julius has his hips in the air, so he has a slight "ku" shape," he explained.
He also addressed the questions that had been solicited in advance via twitter. In response to the question, "Why does Julius seek water when his memory is muddled?" Director Akane replied, "Julius seems to have lost his memory, and that loss is combined with dryness. Perhaps he is reviving memories of his childhood summers," he replied. What characters are easy, difficult, or fun to draw?" Shimamura replied, "There is not a single character that is easy to draw (laugh). He added, "I have a strong attachment to the Wyvern team, especially Akito, because he was a character that I worked on while exchanging opinions with Director Akane from the very beginning. However, it is very difficult to portray his facial expressions. Kimura agreed with Shimamura, saying, "I have feelings for Akito, too, but it is difficult to portray his facial expressions. Kimura also said that he fell in love with Ayano after drawing her in the dance scene.
Director Akane said, "In Chapter 4, the battle scene of Ahuramazda manipulating Ashura, which is also shown in the preview, is quite an interesting picture. And that's not all. There is a lot of fighting in the film. In his closing remarks, he said, "The human drama will be moving, and the subtitle of the film, "From the Memory of Hatred," will also be shown. Please look forward to it.
